This book presents an in-depth critical analysis of Bekenstein-Hawking Black Hole Thermodynamics. It also reviews the work of the Belinski group showing the non-existence of the Unruh and Hawking effects. These analyses lead to the collapse of Hawking's theory of black holes as thermal objects, leading to the breakdown of both the Area law and the Holographic principle. Quantum black holes are instead identified as pure state resonances (Gamow states) at the Planck scale.

Abstract

Energy-momentum conservation in Einstein General Relativity (EGR), i.e. the Freud identity, involves pseudo-tensors. In Yilmaz version of his own theory however (YGR), it is a tensor identity. We show here that Yilmaz decomposition of the Freud pseudo-tensor in terms of tensor and non tensor parts is not as simple as he claims. As we obtained in previous works, energy-momentum conservation must remain a pseudo-tensor identity in both versions of General Relativity and we explain the physical and mathematical reasons for it.
